The medication for my Gastroparesis is finally kicking in. I intended to start college June 1st but I was still too sick. Even now I still can't a lot of things but I AM getting better though. Hopefully I can start in August.

--------------------
Alrighty. Last Wednesday the doctor confirmed that I definitely have Gastroparesis. Gastroparesis pretty much means paralyzed stomach. My stomach is simply not digesting my food properly. The doctor gave me some meds to stimulate my stomach to digest my food. The meds will take a few weeks to start working. The doctor also gave me some pain killers. So at least I won't be in so much pain.
As far as the cause of this illness no one has a clue. The doctor also said this disorder might go away in a few months or I could be stuck with it for life. I'm not worried though, I think either way I will be okay.
Thank you so much everyone for the encouragement!

--------------------------
For some reason I've fallen very ill. I started having unexplained stomach pains at the beginning of February 2009 . As the months went by the pains progressively got worse. In April I could not tolerate the pain.
I went to the doctor. The first sign that something was wrong was the results on the x-rays. I had impacted bowels.
I was then referred to a gastroenologist (I forgot how to spell it). She scheduled me to have a bunch of blood tests and a CT Scan. The results came back normal. I then was told I needed to have a Small Bowel Endoscopy with biopsy. I got disturbing results. They said my food was not digesting properly, it was more or less just sitting in my stomach much longer than it was supposed to. They diagnosed me with GASTROPARESIS. I'm going to get the results of the biopsy 5/13/09. I'll make sure to update my journal.
Last friday 5/8 I had a gastric emptying test. I has to eat radioactive eggs and watch them move down in my stomach.
My pain has been so bad I've been bed written. My parents have had been taking care me. I can't stand being so helpless.
None the less, I refuse to give up and loose my faith.
